The Reverend Monica K. Corsaro has been CMHE's ecumenical campus minister since July 2004. Monica is passionate about campus ministry, thanks to a positive and life-changing campus ministry experience as an undergraduate. Rev. Corsaro earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University and a Master’s of Divinity degree from the Iliff School of Theology in Colorado. She is ordained in the United Methodist Church.
Humor, energy, and eloquence have taken Monica all over the nation and the airwaves as a powerful activist voice. A frequent radio guest and sought-out speaker, she serves as the co-convener for the Religious Coalition for Equality, the Board President for the Washington State Chapter for the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Church Council of Greater Seattle. She has served previously with Trinity United Methodist Church, University Temple United Methodist Church, and as the first-ever full-time chaplain in the Planned Parenthood organization. Rev. Corsaro also spends as much time as possible with her eight-year-old daughter, and can be seen at one of our many coffee shops enjoying a good cup and great conversation with friends.
